Ford GT to offer 5 caliper colors and carbon fiber aplenty

Personalization is key with the new GT

So far, nothing about the 2017 Ford GT has been subdued. From its surprise unveiling at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, to the race car’s 24 Hours of Le Mans victory; the expectations continue to rise for this new domestic supercar.
Ford is keeping it loud with its color choices for the road car, too. In contrast to the eight exterior hues available, Ford is offering its winning buyers the choice of five different brake caliper colors. The six-piston monobloc calipers are manufactured by Brembo, and are available in silver, blue, orange, red and black. Any exterior color can be combined with your choice of caliper color, allowing for some unique combinations. We’d like to think those giant, painted calipers would look best behind the optional, and probably expensive, carbon fiber wheels.

Speaking of the lightweight wheels, carbon fiber can be found throughout the rest of the car, too. Owners will have the choice of gloss, matte, or black paint to cover the exposed trim on the exterior. You, rich guy, will be able to impress passengers on the interior too, with carbon fiber material across the instrument panel. The colors and finishes intensify as they transition to the passenger side in an effort to minimize distraction for the driver.

Obviously, we’re waiting for our chance to get behind the wheel of the 600-plus-hp supercar. It certainly looks incredible standing still, and it looks even better as a blur.
